Speaker Michael Geary from CompuWeather at the Windstorm Insurance ConferenceCompuWeather is honored to once again have Michael Geary, CompuWeather Senior Meteorologist and Forensic Specialist, chosen as a speaker and presenter at the 2013 Windstorm Insurance Conference at the Renaisaance Sea World Hotel in Orlando, Florida. Michael will be one of two featured co-presenters for an advanced workshop titled:  “HVAC and Related Failures in Catastrophes“. The workshop will be presented at the following times: 10:30 am-12:15 pm on January 29, 2013 and 10:15 am -12:00 pm on January 30, 2013. Michael’s co-presenter for this workshop will be  Michael DeHarde, P.E., from U.S. Forensic.

A description of the workshop is as follows:  The seminar provides a guide for evaluating HVAC systems to determine the cause of damage. It will provide information that will help the attendees determine if damage observed is consistent with lightning, wind, hail, or other sources. The course provides inspection guidelines and diagnostic measures that can be used to identify the source of failure. Throughout the course, participants will be given case illustrations and encouraged to apply what they have learned. Covered in detail will be lightning and high wind events as they relate to causing damage to HVAC equipment.

We welcome your participation in this advanced workshop and also invite you to visit the CompuWeather Booth (#200) at the 2013 Windstorm Conference Vendor Expo. CompuWeather is the leading provider of past historical weather reports for insurance claims, legal cases and engineering investigations.
