Why Doesn’t CompuWeather Have A Price List to Send to Me?

Contributed by Kim Cuozzo, Marketing Associate, Forensic Weather Marketing Team

At CompuWeather, we offer a wide variety of services and products for managing all sorts of weather- related insurance claims or legal cases. Clients often ask us if we can just send them a price list, or ask why we don’t have one for download on our website. The truth is that we do have a price list but it is long and complicated and typically misunderstood by most not familiar with how to use it.

Most people do not realize how many different products and options we actually have. Each product has a different pricing structure depending on the length of information you’re looking for as well as the number of different weather variables. Some of our products include numerous weather elements for one inclusive fee while others are priced by the number of weather elements to be included. Some clients need just one day’s worth of weather information, while others need a study covering 10 or more years. There are numerous options to add onto certain reports, with different prices for each. All of these combinations make for a long and complicated price list. In the past when we did distribute a price list to clients we found that they rarely were able to determine the actual price of one of our items and in many cases their estimate was much higher than the actual price of what was needed to get the job done properly.

In our experience, the best thing to do when you have a weather-related case or claim is to contact us and speak with one of our forensic order specialists. They are used to working with insurance professionals, attorneys and engineers and are well versed on our products and their many options. Once we know the weather information you are looking for and how much information you need, we can easily provide you with a price quote and all available options. Most importantly, our job is always to find the most cost-effective way to get you the information you require to properly, professionally and accurately document your case or claim. To help keep costs down we also offer monthly specials and discounts posted on our web site as well as volume discount purchase plans for clients using CompuWeather on a regular and consistent basis.
